Arctic Economic Development Corporation (AEDC)
AEDC is Canada’s dedicated Arctic infrastructure and logistics services provider. A federally incorporated entity registered in all three Northern territories; it solves problems for visionary clients committed to getting big things done in the Arctic.

Role Summary
AECD is seeking high performance associates to build their career at an exciting, mission-driven commercial enterprise.
As an Associate, you will play a key supporting role in the creation of project proposals, solution packages, and infrastructure offers. Working as part of a small and dynamic team, you’ll contribute to research, analysis, document development, and cross-functional coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain experience in large project development, northern infrastructure, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical and writing skills with curiosity, initiative, and a desire to work on projects that make a real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Proposal Support
- Assist in the development of proposal documents, slide decks, spreadsheet analysis, scoping memos, and funding applications
- Draft technical summaries, project descriptions, and partner engagement materials based on team inputs
- Contribute to the creation of compelling, professional deliverables that combine technical, financial, and community narratives
Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on relevant infrastructure technologies, northern policies, funding programs, and project precedents
- Analyze stakeholder needs, community development plans, and jurisdictional regulations as inputs into project design
- Maintain internal databases of reference materials and past projects
Coordination & Team Support
- Track deliverables and support project timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Help coordinate input from partners, consultants, and Indigenous collaborators
- Provide administrative support for document formatting, citations, and version control
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of work or co-op experience in infrastructure, consulting, public policy, economic development, corporate finance or a related field
- Strong writing and communication skills — able to clearly convey complex ideas in plain language
- Analytical and organized, with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
- Self-starter who can take initiative, ask good questions, and deliver consistent results
- Skills in presentation design (e.g., PowerPoint/Canva), data visualization, and financial analysis are considered strong assets
